1-800-RITE-ROOF – Our Story

1-800-RITE-ROOF was founded in 1996 by Cameron Kappl. Although we are one of the most well-known residential roofing companies, and residential roofing is by far the largest part of our business, our founder didn’t start off as a roofer. He began his career working construction with a local remodeling company. After quickly moving up to crew leader and then foreman, Cameron began forming strong relationships with general contractors and developers in the Milwaukee area. As a result, Cameron Kappl Construction was founded as a side business and Cameron worked on weekends and slow times installing roofs on new construction and existing homes. In turn, he began building a customer base with local homeowners.

Kappl Construction, Inc Was Founded

In 2000, Cameron left his full-time job and incorporated his business. The new name was Kappl Construction, Inc. Years of hard work paid off, and he was able to consistently grow his business by giving his customers the highest levels of quality and service in more than just residential roofing.

After initially taking on mainly residential roofing jobs, Cameron began doing some small commercial roofs as well as full exterior remodeling projects including gutters, windows, soffit/trim and siding. In 2006, Kappl Construction, Inc. became a Duro-Last® certified installer and began installing PVC vinyl-rolled roofing material on commercial buildings including McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, Sonic Drive-In, Panda Express, and many others.
